The Glen Innes
area is the Traditional Tribal Lands of the Ngoorabul Aboriginal people. The Ngoorabul aboriginal people are striving to preserve and share their culture with the wider community so as it's unique history can be preserved. The art gallery features locally produced arts and crafts-boomerangs, hand-painted T-shirts, paintings and various other items for sale. On display are authentic aboriginal artefacts from the Glen Innes and surrounding areas which are approximately 100 years old. Our Koori Cuisine Restaurant provides a range of freshly cooked Australian meals and snacks and where the more adventurous can try bush tucker. Conference facilities are available and catering can be provided for any occasion. Educational programmes for schools within a wide area of Glen Innes are conducted regularly and interested parties should contact the Centre. The Willows is an exciting place for camping or fishing, with it's pristine waters, where Murray Cod can be caught(and released), 6 km of bushwalking trails and river frontage.
