The Walderheim Family

Three Waters "High Country" Holidays is a nice name, it had a ring to it that appealed to us when we stopped and spoke to a nice young man at the Glen Innes Tourist Information centre. My husband John and I and two junior teen daughters were on were on the last leg of our Australian tour headed to Sydney to fly back home to Kansas USA.

Starting out from Sydney in July 2007 driving scarily at first on your opposite side of the highway in a hired campervan we drove through your beautiful country and country towns, stopping over in the major cities of Melbourne, Adelade then up through the red centre, Alice springs, Uluru, Katherine, Darwin then across to Cairns, Townsville then back inland eventually arriving in the lovely and green New England country side openly admitting we were a little tired of the heat, flies and dust of the inland. When that lovely man Fred showed us a number of farm stay places with amenities for us weary yanks and said that Three Waters was surrounded by rivers and creeks and was about 3000 feet above sea level that convinced us to stay. That and the fact that our two young early teen daughters Sue and Rebecca are madly in love with horses did it.

Thank you Steve and Kerry, John managed to indulge a wish to try sapphire fossicking and with Steve's advice managed to find a small one, and our two girls again with Steve's expert tuition had a couple of wonderful horse rides with him that they are still babbling on about.

Me, I just loved the peace, and quiet, the beautiful colored birds which seemed to be everywhere, watching the horses and wild deer grazing along the riverbank and the comfort of your beautifully built and decorated recreation room the Gunyah, not to mention your wonderfully clean amenities. The bushwalks we all did over your spectacular land were superb. It is a veritable oasis! When we arrive home we will be showing photographs, and telling all of our friends about you. Oh yes, one more thing we just loved your ossie way of life.

Thank you again from the Walderheim family Martina, John, Sue and Rebecca
